Imme Gerke, PhD

I have lived, studied and worked in Germany, Switzerland, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, Canada and USA. After having earned my PhD, I have been an aid-worker for the Swiss and then the Canadian government, a serial-business founder in Canada and Germany (BioTEPP, IDRG, KAYAKAYO), and a civil servant as advisor to Health Canada.

Today, I work worldwide for IDRG.eu as government and industry advisor in all steps along the food-chain from the soil to the spoon. My main focus is the global harmonization of the authorization of crop protection products (agchem and agbio).

In 2020, I founded KAYAKAYO.eu to support those who follow in my footsteps. As such I provide training by supporting others in building their businesses. My focus is Africa but by connecting African businesses to the rest of the world my work continues around the world.
Other than being a scientist and business woman, my strongest skills are those of self-diversity. They allow me to connect to people in all countries and cultures.
