Nick Krichevsky

I am Nick Krichevsky, an American-born German with a background in biology and a passion for education. My journey took me from teaching to the nonprofit sector, and for the past few years, I have dedicated myself to fostering sustainable and regenerative farming practices in South Africa. Living in Johannesburg, I am inspired by the incredible diversity of biomes and the vast potential for sustainable agriculture in the entire country.

In my work, I focus on rebuilding the connection between communities, particularly youth, and the land they cultivate. Many South African communities are reclaiming land but face challenges due to lost farming knowledge and degraded soil from unsustainable practices. My goal is to create skills-building programs that emphasize organic and regenerative farming methods, helping communities transform their land into sustainable and profitable enterprises.

I leverage a robust network of experts in South Africa and internationally, particularly in Germany, to address challenges in crop production, crop protection, certification, and marketing. My work integrates these areas with an educational approach, empowering youth and farmers to reconnect with the land and adopt innovative, sustainable practices.
